Electronic Human p.1

I've developed 4 steps to be used in the creation of electronic humans.

  1. Define Primary Functions

  2. Define Support Functions

  3. Create Inter-system Interaction Programs

  4. Input Initial System Parameters


Below I have listed both the primary and support functions. I have used Maslow's Hierarchal System of Needs because it produces a nice outline of what humans strive towards. In creating a human, the needs begin to become very difficult to articulate into logic, so I will not be spending a lot of time on them at the beginning, mostly just the physiological needs. Initial systems parameters are also going to be difficult to get into depth with, but we can do easier things like chance of genetic disability, and more baseline needs, but I suspect that these parameters will evolve as the entirety of the depth of the system evolves. Inter-system interactions will develop as the scope of the project develops, obviously the end will most likely be a series of virtual chemical reactions which is what I hope I can end on.

  7. Lymphatic

  8. Respiratory

  9. Digestive

  10. Urinary

  11. Reproductive



Support Functions:

  1. Physiological Needs

  2. Safety Needs

  3. Social Needs

  4. Needs for Esteem

  5. Needs for Self-Actualization

Immortality

Immortality
A second POST! It has been a while but listening to the Final Five Cylon theme has somewhat rekindled my desire to portray ideas, and such a fitting song since my mind has chronotemporally fixated on the idea of Immortality. As such, I have determined the 3 methods by which one may attain immortality and the problems faced with each. I will be listing 4, but you will see why its included but not an actual method.

1. Regeneration - Regeneration is probably the most desirable form of immortality, although it is the longest in its actions. There are two methods I can perceive as being the route to achieving regenerative immortality, the first being stem cells and the second being nanrobotics. The stem cells are probably the slowest to function of the two, but they are the closest humans have achieved as of yet. Nanorobotics is a much faster and better method, and I shall explain why in a bit. Either of the two, due to their ability to restore a body to its prime functioning state, are the 2 best candidates, (although there is another one I'm mulling over in my mind, it has to do with cancerous cells). The downside to both is the side effect that they would both be overwriting stored information in the brain in order to revitalize it. Stem cells have no ability to change this, it is merely how they function but with the nanomachinces, they could, if programmed with the complete layout of the mind, which would then have to be analyzed and finally repaired with the minimal loss of information.

2. Reincarnation - There a multitude of methods for this topic, but I assume there are maybe two good ones, but please inform me of any other ones. The first is a complete brain transfer, obviously the most difficult as of right now, but we may find easier ways of doing this, but connecting all those nerve endins would be a pain, and I imagine a large portion would require stem cell research technology. The second method is a memory implant. Combining cyberneurotics and neurochemistry may be able to create some sort of ability to literally implant memories into a new body, unfortunately, this poses more problems if the doner body already has memories of their own, in both instances, yes even if the donor's brain is removed, there is a theory that information can also reside in proteineous tissue (muscle memory) and we haven't even cracked the idea of genetic memories which I for one believe exists. Either way, through implant or transplant, this is a more difficult method, but it alos creates lossless information transfer if done correctly.

3. Cybernetics - Or Cyberneurotics as I like to call it. Transferring ones own mind into information, which can then be stored, copied, and transferred. This method would mostly be used to transplant the information into another body. Once the brain to computer interface is developed this method will actually be the easiest I think, and once you are backed up to a machine, you can pretty much do with it what you want. This method can also be combined with organic computing to create artificial bodies for implantation of memories. This is getting ahead of what I was saying.

4. Epic Deeds - While not true immortality, it is a form of it. Doing epic deeds will not only put you into history, but as long as our civilization holds, you will be remembered in books and the things you've done, and finally after our civilization ends, you will be remembered in stories, and if tributes to you are created that can withstand the course of time, in monuments to you. These monuments will spark interest, and finally people will want to know why you had a monument and so they will creates a story for you. So while you may not live on, the things you felt strong enough about will.

So ends this post on immortality, I'm getting distracted and most of the things I wanted to say have been said, please comment on it, I enjoy hearing other's opinions for it is only with the input of outside influences do we change.

Welcome

Welcome to my new blog. I know, not that spectacular, but as I find myself aging, I find more wisdom, hoping to not forget it I have decided to put it down on "paper" so as to semi-immortalize it. A few things you will find in the blog that I will eventually get up and running will be:
1. I tend to get sidetracked a lot, my mental trainyard has too many damned traincars in it so most trains get stuck on trying to leave, and when they do, they tend to derail at odd intervals, not that I intentionally derail them, there is usually too much stuff lying on the tracks though, so problems ensue.
2. I will use non-conventional words. The English language while as grandious as it is in its ability to purvey ideas, does not conform to my ability to communicate, therefore I will throw words in (like grandious) that have no meaning other than the context that they are placed in. This is by no means an inability to look up, nor remember, the inopportunely large amount of words I have been able to assail my mind with, I just dint feel if the word doesn't pop into my mind, which I normally have even a hard time remembering simple words as times, then I cannot be bothered with wasting my time on trying to remember it.
3. I wouldn't call myself angry, but I am frustrated with us as an intelligent society. I pretend to have all the answers, but I don't know how helpful it truly is or if I even "solve" anything. My desire for knowledge was scattered into the many fields, so I like to think of myself as well versed in many different areas, but I am not a master of any of them. A dabbler if you will.

For now those 3 will have to do, I have derailed yet another traincar in my mind and have moved on for now, I have many things to discuss with you and if you so choose to read it, hopefully some wisdom will be buried somewhere in there.
